Ecopsychology — Depth Psychology — tx planner notes — intervention — Book of Hearts — using blogs as diagnostics for Art and Narrative Therapy — new treatment paradigm — scholarship

Most of my Ecopsychology interventions can be found by searching Google using Firefox like this: bonnaire object relations.  During the course of time that my blog has been running in WordPress I have written interventions to various news stories I saw in the web.

Because I have written this blog under my established nom de plume, it has been a presence in the web for me.  Anyway, the way I used this blog over the last few years and the things I have seen in the search strings behind the scenes gave me an idea about how to set up something that can be used as part of a treatment plan for Ecopsychology that I am working on.  let me just try and flesh out my thoughts on this as we go.

One of the reasons I love WordPress so much is because of the ease with which they make things happen over at  A lot of therapists are now working in the web?  So, I want to make up a model based on experiences I have had with my own blog.

I see the Cloud Computing as a way to view “Blog” as “Self” in terms of how we might use Narrative and Art Therapy.  The word cloud would form because of terms used.  For instance, I was blogging a lot of politics over the last few years so if you do a quick read of my clouds you can see that.  It also gives a quick almost snapshot view of what the blog is about.  As you can see ETHICS is the biggest word on my cloud — so know that this is an ethical model I am building.

I see that the Wikipedia now has ECOPSYCHOLOGY as an entry too. My school, Pacifica Graduate Institute is a lot like Naropa?  Or was, when I got my degree in 1998.  My master’s thesis was on the film “The Piano” and it talked about using films as interventions.  That is the work I am doing now as a writer, so, in a sense I am developing this tx plan that way.

I see the open web as a very safe thing for humanity in terms of social networking across the globe?  I do.

I also see a way that therapists can use their client’s word clouds and scanned art works as diagnostics.  Almost like a sandtray in a sense.  The therapist and client can “share” a blog, using WordPress.  Also, a group process might be done in the blog as well.

So, how would this look in practice?

A therapist might have a blog under their real name in the web on  (Establishes a permanent ethical container).

A client can also have a blog on, only, as an avatar?  In this way the client’s privacy is established.

The therapist could have a Facebook Page under their real self.

The client can also have this.

The avatar of the blog would present almost as the ‘false self’ in a sense?  Ala Winnicott (Object Relations).

Except?  What is the True and False Self circa 2010?

There are many ways to have a false self in the web, it seems.  People seem to build identities through various games such as Second Life?  I haven’t seen it but I know about it.

If the client established a blog and a twitter acount, and linked to their therapist’s twitter — the two could maintain contact via the web.

The blog is like a tabula rasa.  The client can present self in Narrative as well as posted art works.  The therapist acts as observer, just like in session.  I did a lot of research into the generation of EMO children.  This is a generation who has grown up on the web?  In one of my early papers for Dr. Mary Watkins at Pacifica, I referenced Sardello’s thoughts on children playing pre-scripted games?  He felt that sociopathy might result from that.  Here is a piece I wrote about that:

Ecopsychology, Assessment, children, Sardello, research from America — in the wake of Germany’s tragedy —

One of the last clients i worked with at FSA in the early 2000’s during my internship had no internal sense of self — only fragmentation?  It was the strangest experience to sit in session with him.  Having to do with a lack of reality testing.  I have some theories on that as well that tandem with research by Aaron Kipnis who lectured at Pacifica.  I have been working out a three generation genogram model that deals with drug use from 1910 to 2010 — in terms of a holisitic cure.  If we consider what the 1970’s looked like for kids and we take a look at the new version of the DSM just coming out?  Senator Grassley has been investigating this subject.  I wrote about it here:

An article for Senator Grassley and Senator McCain — on medical ethics, psychiatry and the DSM…

During my internship at FSA I worked under a psychiatrist as supervisor who proscribed Prozac to two year olds.  Personally?  I would rather have seen the intervention made using a Family Systems model.  As I look into the EMO phenomenon I wonder what sort of chemical cocktail is in the bloodstream of these kids?  How is this affecting Reality Testing?  So, my idea of WordPress blog with Art and Narrative is a diagnostic tool?  I am quite concerned at what Sardello had to say back when he did.  Is it possible that the pre-scripted games have created a sociopathic soul?  Or a non-embodied soul?  If we look at what Piaget had to say about developing the imaginal field (aka Depressive Position) as a window open only until age nine?  Would it be possible to develop the imaginal conciousness post age nine?

These are just thoughts I am tossing around as I work out this plan.  Any feedback from my colleagues is welcome!  Just sign on to my WordPress blog and leave a comment!

As I think about the three generation genogram tx plan,  I would want to assess the drugs that the parents took?  Then the children took, and then their own offspring.  Right now I think the statistics are one in one hundred being born with Autism and other defects.

I’m developing a natural treatment model so that we can assess and treat in a holistic fashion.  More thoughts on this later!

Pacifica knows me as Adrienne and I am linked to them as my real self in Facebook as well as my nom de plume.  I am also linked to me classmates in both places as well.
