spring, blossoming…

Spring.

I planted Cecile Bruner roses when I was married (top picture)  now they are huge and there are bazillions of flowers in Spring.

My old guardian, the mossy lion.

Orange trees in bloom.

Still, I’d like a bigger, sunnier place.

Like a small ranch, someplace.

Wishes.

  1. Just got in from being out all day! What beauty in your garden! Orange blossoms here too. All around. I love the fragrance.

    1. I didn’t know oranges grew there! How fab. Have to run out to the market or takeout for dinner as brunch. All day read articles in web. A total waste of time and now more scared than ever. Geez. Unreal. There has to be a better life, someplace.

  2. Yes, we have lots of orange groves, and date palms. well, yes, the news is always bad, and the country is in dire straits. actually, most western nations…..but?

All the more reason for a story like “Heart of Clouds”…….

It doesn’t do me any good to tell you not to be afraid because you’re too smart for that. Geez, you are!

So, I will call you tomorrow instead? or tonight? Lemmeknow, or dial my number, and I’ll call you back.

  3. You are exceedingly brilliant. So much of who you are, you don’t recognize yourself. Maybe not enough people have told you. Maybe they didn’t recognize the power of your heart and mind.

It doesn’t matter who recognizes you, what matters is that someone does, and then you have to allow yourself to believe, in that, just a little. Delicate, this self awareness is, like a butterfly…but a butterfly needs the wind to touch it’s wings.

Take hold of this, and treasure it. you are rare indeed. Somewhere inside, you dimly agree.

    have a nice day.

    1. thanks, song.

I suppose putting one foot forward is the key. Or something. Working would be good. Identity. That is what is gone for me.
      Needs new one, now.

  5. Thank you for your response. It means that you took a moment to read it, and you weren’t dismissive. Your identity comes through your locus of creativity and always has, through thick and thin, you’ve always had and do have that inner world. It is who you are, not who others define you as. You are a cutting edge person, and you don’t know it. Someone had to tell you this, so you won’t always be looking for your reflection in the mirror of the world.

You are a creator. You need to understand this. Your reflection comes only by creating it. That is what it means to be a cutting edge person. Once you know this, that you are the eyes and ears, heart and mind, of the world as it could be? You will not feel the way you do. You wrote a beautiful book. You will write a beautiful screenplay when you make up your mind.

You forget that I met you. I know how sensitive you are, how kind, and also, a very powerful being, woman, person.

“some say lo here and lo there, but the kingdom of heaven is within you.”

    love to you.

  6. write what you love. that’s it.

Be like St. Theresa of Avila. She had a fearless gusto, an earthy streak, like you.

when she was criticized for relishing a meal by the ascetic types, she is said to have answered.

“when I Pheasant, I pheasant, when I pray, I pray.”

  7. Jerry Brown. why? I don’t know. I guess when you decide that you are worth your own energy, then you’ll do what you have to do. I know you dismiss what I say half the time. Garbage in. Garbage out.
