six lines on silence — #amwriting #forjohne #groupsestina — tiny poems

listening to this:

six ten word lines ending in “silence”

*

Nothing to be said at the endings, save the silence

Lights I strung along the edges, our dreams, now silence

Christmas past, once wrapped around each other’s glow, present silence

He expected me to understand his quiet solitude, always silence

We silently slipped from marriage, it was always my silence

Years I felt like speaking, never listened to, only silence

trial run on the lines — back later!
